The Taratoor Sauce also makes a great dipping sauce for crudites, so don't just make it for falafel.
Tarator is a favorite sauce in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Materialien herstellen Tarator-Sauce, Dip
- Sie brauchen 250 g of Naturjoghurt.
- Sie brauchen 125 g of Sesampaste (Tahini).
- Sie brauchen 2 of Knoblauchzehen.
- Bereiten 2 EL of gehackte Petersilie.
- Bereiten of Saft einer halben Zitrone.
- Sie brauchen 1/2 TL of Salz oder nach Geschmack.
Kochschritte Tarator-Sauce, Dip
- Joghurt und Sesampaste zusammen mischen. Knoblauch schälen und pressen und dazugeben. Zitrone pressen und den Saft hinzufügen. Die gehackte Petersilie dazugeben. Mit Salz abschmecken. Alles sehr gut mischen. Guten Appetit :).
When I first served this yogurt cold soup to my friends or my husband, they confused it with tzatziki which is a greek sauce made with similar ingredients. The biggest difference is that tarator is made with yogurt while tzakiki is made with strained yogurt. Also, one is a soup and the other a dip. Hi Alice, the authentic Lebanese tarator sauce it is made as per my instructions. What you describe wouldn't be called tarator sauce in Lebanon, but it sounds as a very interesting mix of ingredients 😉 Enjoy!
